Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it may be used, and the limited circumstances in which another party may receive it. By continuing to use Menifee County Criminal History, you accept the data practices stated here.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or location entered in a search tool is transmitted directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies the response. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We retain an email message when needed to respond. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

When a page loads, servers may automatically receive basic technical facts about the visit:

  • Page-view timestamps
  • The referring site, when one is available
  • Pages viewed and the length of each visit
  • Device type and operating system
  • Browser type and version
  • The device's assigned IP address

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files saved on a device. We use them with analytics services to understand site traffic, including which pages are used most and where visits end. A browser can reject cookies through its settings, although disabling them may change how some site functions behave.

What We Do With This Data

  • Sending a search request to the selected outside provider
  • Finding and correcting technical problems
  • Maintaining site availability and speed
  • Measuring which pages are useful or need improvement
  • Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal-record information. Menifee County guidance identifies official sources such as the sheriff, the Office of Circuit Court Clerk in Frenchburg, the Kentucky State Police Records Branch, and the Kentucky State Police Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not compiled into a consumer report or a record about another person, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information entered there is governed by the provider's privacy policy, including its retention and sharing rules. We do not control those practices. Review the provider's policy before sending a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to the Menifee County government, Kentucky Court of Justice, Kentucky State Police, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Read that policy before providing personal details.

Some advertising providers may track activity across multiple sites to select ads. That processing takes place within the provider's systems.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

  • Advertising networks that place ads on the site
  • Search providers that process submitted queries
  • Government or law-enforcement bodies responding to a valid legal order
  • Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance

How We Protect Your Data

We use standard safeguards for the data collected. No internet-connected system is fully secure, however, so we cannot promise that a breach will never occur.

Users Under 18

This site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such data, we will delete it.

Your Data Rights

Rights can vary by residence and applicable law. In Kentucky, the Kentucky Open Records Act, KRS 61.870 through 61.884, applies to records held by public agencies. KRS 17.150 governs inspection of law-enforcement records, and KRS 17.185 addresses a person's request to Kentucky State Police for a name-based or fingerprint-supported check on oneself. Those public-record laws are distinct from this private site's practices. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Request deletion of data we hold about you
  • Ask for access to information kept about you
  • Object to certain forms of processing
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
