Questions about official Menifee County criminal records belong with the government office that created or maintains the file. The Menifee County Sheriff and the Office of Circuit Court Clerk in Frenchburg handle different record types, while Kentucky State Police maintains the state repository. The routes below identify the proper custodian and explain the limits of this private reference site.

This Is Not a Government Office. This is a private reference site. We cannot retrieve official records, conduct official background checks, correct or remove records, or receive expungement filings. Those services must come from the appropriate government custodian.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office that holds the specific Menifee County record:

  • Arrest and sheriff incident reports: contact Sheriff Roger Smallwood's office by phone at 606-768-3875, fax at 606-768-3954, email at menifeeso@cji.net, or mail at P.O. Box 142, Frenchburg, KY 40322-0142
  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the Menifee Office of Circuit Court Clerk at 12 Main Street, P.O. Box 172, Frenchburg, KY 40322, 606-768-2461; counter hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Criminal-history repository records: contact the Kentucky State Police Records Branch
  • Official statewide court checks: use Kentucky Court of Justice AOC Background Checks or FastCheck
  • Police reports: ask the law-enforcement agency that created the report
  • Expungement: obtain the required AOC certification, then file through the court that handled the case

The county does not publish a separate sheriff records division street address or walk-in schedule. Call 606-768-3875 before traveling. Menifee County has no operating jail, so the sheriff or county dispatch may first need to identify the contracted facility holding a booking or custody record.
